The Swearing of new minister appointed by President Zuma will go ahead as planned, court rules

The Western Cape High Court has dismissed DA’s application to prevent President Zuma from swearing in new ministers.

The DA had filed papers in the Western Cape High Court with the aim to interdict the swearing-in of what they deemed to be Zuma’s compromised cabinet members.

The court ruling means that the swearing will proceed at 6pm at the president’s official residence in Pretoria as planned.
